Class Information

Bethany’s classes draw upon 29 years of dancing experience within the Classical Ballet art form. She has studied intensely with Roger Tully during this time and passes on all of this knowledge through her own understanding. This teaching is based around certain principles that run through every classical art form. She is always looking to explore these fundamentals which seem to have been obscured...movement arises from the torso first and depends upon the freedom around the body’s central axis. Classical dance is an expression of the body’s own natural arrangement.

The classes begin with a barre workout and then move into the centre. During the class some technique is tackled but the main focus is on the joy of movement and musicality. The classes will help build confidence, flexibility, strength, expression of movement, poise and grace.

There is a pianist to give the class a great atmosphere and to help the teacher create a bespoke class for each group.
