Easter Performance Course
Age 12-18 years

This course is for young performers aged 12-18 and is held at the Laine Studios in Epsom. It involves an intensive three-day rehearsal process, culminating in the performance of a selection of scenes, songs, and choreography from a range of musicals on the fourth day. The course is delivered by a mixed team of resident Laine faculty members and external industry professionals.
Limited accommodation can be arranged in local family homes. Payment is made directly to the host family and includes bed, breakfast, packed lunch, and evening meal.

EASTER COURSE APPLICATION

Audition Skills Course

This intensive five-day course is designed to prepare students aged 14+ for the process of auditioning for full-time musical theatre training courses. Students will participate in a range of workshop-style classes covering fundamental dance technique and vocabulary, technical singing, acting through song, script work and improvisation, guidance for finding solo vocal material for auditions and for creating a solo dance routine.
Limited accommodation can be arranged in local family homes. Payment is made directly to the host family and includes bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.

SUMMER COURSE APPLICATION
Summer Performance Course
5th – 10th of August 2024

This six-day course is for young performers aged 12-18 and is held at the Laine Studios in Epsom. Students choose to specialise in either dance or musical theatre and will experience a mixed timetable of technical classes, workshops and rehearsal sessions, culminating in an end-of-week performance. The course is delivered by a team of resident Laine teaching faculty members and external industry professionals. A mid-week theatre trip is also made available to summer course students at an additional cost.
Limited accommodation can be arranged in local family homes. Payment is made directly to the host family and includes bed, breakfast, packed lunch and evening meal.

Summer Performance course Application
Junior Summer School
29th July – 2nd August 2024

Junior Summer School is for young performers aged 5-11. It is a five-day course with a ‘fun with a focus’ ethos. We offer a jam-packed timetable of singing, dancing, acting and craft classes, all of which contribute to the creation of an end-of-week performance piece. Junior Summer School is taught by members of the Laine Junior Department Faculty and the course is open to children with no experience of performing as well as those who train regularly.
